This is just a short release note for version 4.0.0 of the Paystack WooCommerce Payment Gateway.

Two major features were added in this version, support for Paystack Inline Embed and Custom Metadata.

Paystack Inline Embed
Paystack Inline Embed allows you to show Paystack payment page directly on your site instead of the current popup option that is currently used. The popup option can still be used.
To use the Inline Embed just select Inline Embed in the Payment Page option in the plugin settings page in your WordPress admin.

Custom Metadata
With the custom metadata you can now send additional information to Paystack about the order. This will be displayed when viewing the details of a transaction in your Paystack account.
To enable this check the Enable Custom Metadata checkbox and check the enable additional fields that you want to send to Paystack in the plugin settings page in your WordPress admin

Presently the follows details can be sent to Paystack

  • WooCommerce Order ID
  • Customer Name
  • Customer Email
  • Customer Phone
  • Billing Address
  • Shipping Address
  • Products

To enable Paystack Inline embed and Custom Metadata support just enable theĀ option from the plugin settings page

Edit Title and Description
You can now edit the title that is shown on the checkout page and also set a description that will be displayed for the user.
Initially the title was set to Debit/Credit Cards and it wasn’t editable.

Show admin notice if test mode is enabled
An admin notice will now be displayed in the WordPress admin if the Paystack WooCommerce Payment Gateway plugin is enabled and testmode is active


The update will have appeared in your WordPress admin area. So kindly update to the latest version or download the latest version from the wordpress.org plugin directory
